You’d think from the headlines all around the world that every sanctioned Russian oligarch has by now lost their super-yachts, their mansions, and their multi-national bank accounts and are living in social exile, their reputations severely tarnished.
clearly the greatest cost is the rebuild of Ukraine whom ever prevails ...a costly endeavor perhaps a move that was fired by pride? on both sides when the buffer states and others sought management of their holdings who underwrote the former national debts owed to the communist states? I know west Germany under wrote the obligations of east Germany banking etc.etc...so how where the matters of all the other states handled economically? running nations has to make fiscal sense on some level...destructive invasions seem like bad business?
