I remember and hate them all

This is all news to me, but I guess not surprising. The principle-free Trump would have bargained with the devil to get what he wanted. I would say Cruz and Mitch were suitable stand-ins.

Well, what's short here is some sort of evidence that this deal really did make a difference. I have a hard time believing that Cruz simply posts on Facebook and the masses fall into line, ready to turn out to vote for Trump. So, the skeptical Republican conservatives were not going to vote at all, or pull the lever for a Democrat?

I think it was not a matter of getting “people” to want to vote for trump but more of getting the political party machine behind him.

Appreciate the perspective, but I still am looking for the data. So we simply assume Cruz has the ability to stop or slow down Republican "machinery?" I just don't see the Party nominating the rightful winner....which they did....and then turning around and not putting some firepower into the game. Still asking, what is the actual data behind the idea that Trump's bargain actually helped him?

I hate Trump and Cruz but it's no different from Clyburn endorsing Biden in exchange for a black woman SCOTUS appointment. What is a bigger story is that the Dossier was commissioned by Cruz but he was toast by the time it was done. It was then sold to HRC

Actually it was the Washington Free Beacon which supported Rubio that commissioned the dossier.
