Thank you, Jessica.

So funny! After I wrote this I went out to dinner in New York with a friend. We were sitting at a corner table, minding our own business when in walked Fergie with Beatrice and three others. They sat down at the table next to us. I didn't like to interrupt their dinner or mention the post - I think that would have been rude and inappropriate - but Beatrice gave me a huge smile. And, on my way out I smiled at Fergie and she waved and smiled, so I have this feeling that they read it. (A mutual friend definitely did). Which, obviously, was not why I wrote it. But I've often thought the world is a karmic circle. Happy Saturday! V

Thank you for sharing this sweet story about Fergie. I’m so glad she has reincarnated herself to a positive outcome. I love the kindness she has shown. That family sure needs kindness!

Loved reading this, Vicky! Reminded me of a time, probably about 10ish+ years ago, when my mother was visiting me in NYC and had decided to be early to meet at The Caryle, our then home away from home. She was seated on one of the banquettes in The Gallery (that sunken upholstered walk-through area) when she saw Fergie and a couple of the grey men. She called out "Fergie!" and then apologized for using the overly familiar nick-name. Fergie stopped and turned to face her, and with a big smile on her face "Ah a fellow red-head!" (my mum is Scottish). She continued down the steps to the dining room. A few minutes later, one of the grey men came over to my mother and asked if she would like to join Fergie. She did and they had a wonderful chat. My mother said she could not have been more down to earth and approachable - they had some great laughs together!

This is a very sweet story and generously kind. I am fond of people who are positive and speak nicely of their relations, friends and people they encounter in life. It certainly adds to the pleasure of life to read about someone who is not wearing the poor ole me placard. Best to you, your family and that of the Duchess of York.

This might be my favorite piece about Fergie I’ve read yet. It’s these little details that say so much about her and her character. She was always my favorite royal. As a girl, I adored the fun and quirkiness she brought to the family. And her bold fashion selections.

Reading this pieces makes me love her even more. Thank you for sharing this, Vicky. What a perfect Saturday read.

I am a great admirer of your work but please, enormity does not mean what you think it means.

A great many member of the RF are entitled. Frankly, let’s see who ends up in Royal Lodge and how many homes they will then have under their belt.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful story about Sarah Ferguson. I think your story is the only positive story that I have ever read about her. I’m in my 70’s and am a voracious reader.

The press about the royal family seems to be distorted.
